The Dudley's first experience of Dairymaster was in 1999 when they
installed a 30 bail Dairymaster Swingover Parlour on their farm in
New Zealand. At this time the family milked 330 cows on the 120
Hectare home farm and 120 cows on the farm next door.
In 2005 the family made the decision to incorporate the two farms
and milk through one new dairy. Wally comments "There was never any
question about the plant in the new dairy, we asked Dairymaster to
install a 50 unit Rotary including ACR's and Autowasher".
The new dairy was constructed on the same site, meaning everything
had to be finished inside three months. Mark had always milked in a
Swingover, however within a few weeks he said he would never want
to go back.
Mark commented "Usually I milk on my own and Brent will get the
second herd and help with the washing up, Helen or Emma will also
milk on their own on occasion. It's no problem milking by yourself,
with the Dairymaster plant we rarely have a set of cups get kicked
off, heifers are quiet, and we never get cups slipping".
